Firefighter takes radio to places where it is very hot, cold, wet, muddy, dirty and dusty. Radios may be somewhat protected, however remote mics and remote mic cords rarely have any protection. Firefighters need reliable communications to accomplish their critical mission. For this reason, Vadd have developed patented high temperature cable to be used in radio accessory cords, the evolution for firefighter communications. Vadd’s high temperature cable meets NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) heat resistance requirement, to withstand in 500℉ (260℃) for 5 minutes.
