Stripping Insulation

Stripping Insulation

Laser Stripping

Over decades we have developed our expertise of laser stripping technologies in close R&D relationship with leading laser technology equipment manufacturers.

Laser wire stripping provides many advantages over conventional methods.

Benefits & Advantages of Laser Stripping

No conductor damage

  • Lasers doesn’t damage conductors
  • Reduces quality assurance requirements and enables designers to specify tighter tolerances and user lighter weight wires

Strip of all insulation types

  • Cost saving as ease of set-up one piece of equipment wide variety of wire and insulation types and can process a range of wire types

Increased strip quality

  • Reproducible results and maximizes yields, thereby reducing costs

Multiple wires simultaneously

  • Increases productivity

Large range of wire sizes

  • From less than 25 µm up to 25 mm (0.001 – 1.000 in.) diameter – one process supports damage free stripping across the widest range of wire sizes

Large range of wire forms

  • One machine can process flat, round, twisted or shielded cable
  • Improves equipment utilization and productivity

Variable strip patterns

  • Programmable to remove the insulation at any location on the wire
  • The fact that laser stripping is a non-contact process the beam is controlled very precisely enabling the laser beam to be directed to achieve a variety of stripping patterns, otherwise impossible by traditional methods

Rotary Semi-Automatic Stripping

Our advanced semi and automatic stripping covers wire ranges from our extremely thin micro miniature coaxial cables MCX series from inner diameters of 0.03 mm (48 AWG) to wire sizes of 15mm to at very short cycle times.

The unique rotary stripping head design guarantees maximum precision

Software control enables strip insulation at predefined strip length with high quality, accuracy and reliability.
